Chapter Priorities
About AABE:
The American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE) was the first-of-its-kind national organization dedicated to promoting the academic and professional success of African Americans through educational initiatives, mentorship and advocacy for diversity in STEM fields. The organization was founded by Clarke Watson in 1977 and has over 39 chapters across the nation today.
AABE Oklahoma Chapter is a 501c3 non-profit organization that was formed in the early 1990’s and was re-instated in 2023.
Our Chapter Mission:
To elevate energy awareness and advocacy in the Black and underrepresented communities, foster the development of members, and inspire the next generation of energy leaders.
Our Chapter Goals:
